Farmer Field School for Women's Self Help Group

With support and funding from Heifer International, Rachna Satrei recently conducted a Farmer Field School where 30-35 women from the Women's Self Help Group in the Rosey Sanh village were invited to come share their knowledge and experiences about planting vegetables and raising livestock. This program empowers women to become self-sustaining while generating a source of income. For personal stories shared at this event please click here.

Project Inspire Vocational School Grand Opening

During April of 2017, Project Inspire Vocational Sewing School officially opened its doors! Although most of the equipment has been funded, we are still looking for donors who are interested in helping us purchase more sewing machines for the future students. Please send us an email if you are interested in supporting Project Inspire! For more information about the school click here.

Women's Self Help Group Meetings

Rachna Satrei previously established 37 Women Self Help Groups. A total of 1,468 family members from six different communes in the Srei Snorm district of Siem Reap are involved in these groups. These groups help to strengthen women social capital, while also serving as a platform for women to share knowledge about the value of community development, accountability, trust building, and the process of sharing information.

Conference on Securing Funding for Community Fisheries

On September 27th, 2016, Rachna Satrei attended a workshop conference to discuss securing funding for community fisheries by integrating natural resource management into community investment plans. Click here for more info!
